It makes me think that the skin lies elsewhere (maybe a registry entry?), but I see no obvious way to remove/replace it. I have tried uninstalling the one provided by ASUS and installing the latest HD audio codec from Realtek, but:ġ) The driver does not appear to actually work - no sound comes out and many applications freeze, hang, or error saying they can't play soundĢ) Somehow the ASUS ROG skin for the Realtek HD Audio Manager REMAINS even after uninstalling ASUS's version and installing Realtek's version from their site. Click the folder icon just above and to the right of where it says analog back panel and just below Device Advanced settings. Scroll down and select Realtek HD Audio Manager. Press Windows + R, type control panel and then hit Enter, select Hardware and Sound.

If this is unlikely/not possible, however, I would like to know how to remove the AUS ROG skin from the Realtek HD Audio Manager. Enable 'Which device did you plugged in' popup.

This is functionality that I would like to see in a future update to the AUS ROG ALC1150 Codec. Right audio channel nearly inaudible - Realtek HD Audio Manager in Sound & Audio Hello, I can only hear Mono from my computer: I just bought a new headset (which is working perfectly fine on a different computer) and the Stereo sound is not functioning. Not only that, clicking on the jack icons on the right after they have been plugged in brings up the same dialog box so that you can repurpose them dynamically. It looks similar, but plugging in a device in the **REAR** jacks (the ASUS version only does this for the front jacks) brings up a dialog box for 'which device did you plug in?'. That's fine, but in Realtek's implementation:

Notice the jacks that are plugged in are colored, while the ones that aren't plugged in are grayed out. You could also tell windows to use your audio interface by default, rather than using Realtek as the default, but the onboard. If you don't need to use your onboard audio, just disable the device within your BIOS settings.

The screenshot below shows my main concern: If you want to, remove the drivers and go into your bios and disable the onboard audio device. I have a Maximus VI Hero, and after recently setting everything up and updating my audio drivers to the latest found on the ASUS ROG site (Version 601.6923), I noticed that the ROG version of the Realtek HD Audio Manager is crippled in certain functionality compared to Realtek's own HD Audio Manager (which I used in my previous setup).
